“Paraiso” short film: cleaning at dizzying heights

Three Mexican immigrants, Chicago’s tallest skyscrapers and a whole lot of courage – they are the secret ingredients of the award-winning short film “Paraiso” which you can now watch on YouTube.

In just a few striking minutes, the Israeli director Nadev Kurtz tells the story of three Mexicans who moved to the American city Chicago in search of financial security and happiness. As window and building cleaners of ginormous skyscrapers, they put themselves to the test every single day.
Even though the procedure is the same day in, day out, abseiling hundreds of meters above the ground always takes a great deal of courage. Weather conditions must be checked and the most stringent safety requirements must be met in order to ensure that they are safe in each and every situation.
In addition to numerous nominations, the film has won several awards in the “Best Documentary and Short Film” category at the “Tribeca International Film Festival” and the “Seattle International Film Festival”, amongst others.

If you want to experience the window and building cleaning profession from a completely different perspective, then you should definitely not miss out on this film!
